Hi guys just getting around to write a little post about my Easter weekend with my family.

Easter is one of my favourite times of the year. I make Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny for the kids they love it. This year I used some fake grass and carrots to set the scene they were thrilled when they came downstairs. Yes that is a xmas pyjamas top my son is wearing he refuses to stop wearing it trust me I’ve tried!!

I arranged some flowers for the table.

My mother baked a chocolate cake that I decorated, baking is not my strong point!

In the afternoon, we went to my aunt’s house for dinner and the egg hunt. My aunt decorates the house and the garden the kids love it out there.

Easter in my family is enjoyed by all ages.

Making happy memories that my children will carry throughout their life is what is important to me.

These little cuties had a wonderful Easter.

Castlemartyr Resort Hotel

I recently had a one night stay at the beautiful Castlemartyr Resort Hotel although I could have happily moved in. The hotel is situated in the village of Castlemartyr in Co. Cork. The scenery is lovely as you drive up to the entrance of the hotel you can see the golf course and the river which runs in front of the hotel. The most striking thing you see as you drive up is the original castle which was built in 1210.

The original manor house which has been restored forms the core of the hotel. As we pulled up there was an option to avail of valet parking we didn’t the car park is close to the main entrance. Just at the front door there was a very cute Easter display on a piano. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly and we were checked in within minutes.

The room was just fabulous, very spacious with a huge bed and beautiful marble bathroom. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel because we had to go in to the city I realised I had forgotten my bag when we arrived total disaster. I didn’t want to let it ruin our stay so I just hit Penney’s for replacements and we had dinner in the city instead.

We relaxed that night in the Knights Bar it was like stepping back in time. The room is so elegant. I didn’t take any pictures because everyone was just relaxing and the atmosphere was serene so I didn’t think people would appreciate me being snap happy.

The next morning, we had a lovely breakfast in a stunning antique style room looking out onto the manicured lawn. After breakfast, we headed to the spa we were running late so we just had a quick swim and used the thermal suite. I will get a treatment the next time we visit.

I would highly rate this hotel for a couples break away or a family stay there was an equal mix of both when we stayed. We didn’t bring the kids but as a parent you always notice if there are facilities for families. There is a play area, designated swimming times and there seemed to be other activities available also for families.

Visually the hotel is fabulous both the interior and exterior are exceptional. The mix of old world charm with modern art and design is done so eloquently. We will be returning for another visit maybe with the kiddies next time.

Find the Wonderful

Hi guys and welcome to my little blog. This will be a place for me to share my passions, and love for all things fashion, beauty and travel. What you won’t find here is perfection because as you are probably aware it doesn’t exist. What I do hope you find is something positive you can take away from Find the Wonderful. Maybe even a little inspiration. It’s a personal blog based on my own personal opinions and thoughts which are not expert. I chose the name Find the Wonderful for the same reason I’ve chosen to set up this blog. Life can be tough but it must be embraced and therefore I feel its important to Find the Wonderful instead of waiting around for it to find you. Seek joy in pain pursue happiness in times of despair. What to expect from me? A little bit of how to find the wonderful I hope.
